EMF

EMF meters are used to detect and measure magnetic fields. There is a lot of speculation, that this maybe associated with the energy of ghosts as well as natural phenomena.

TriField meters are so highly sensitive it will detect the presence of body parts. When checking for EMF anomalies, scan the area slowly in all directions. When conducting a vigil leave the EMF meter/s running in a stationary position, this may also give a grater reading

CCTV

CCTV systems with night vision enables you to see in the dark , and gives a total view over everything on what’s going off on your investigation. Placing cameras on a tripod up high looking down gives you more cover on the area.

Thermometer

Thermometers are an important tool on an investigation to detect cold as well as hot spots. Rapid temperature drop or increase of 10 degrees or more could indicate spirit activity.

Digital Camera

Also a very useful piece of equipment, its main purpose is to take snapshots for a record of the location, and hopefully to capture any strange phenomena. Its obvious benefits is that it allows you to take hundreds of photos without the costly film processing.

Camcorder

Camcorder with night vision is ideal for recording in low light or in pure dark areas and capturing any strange events.

EVP

Digital recorders are used to record EVP (electronic voice phenomenon), voices not normally heard with the ear, but can be heard on play back.

Best when used with an external microphone.

Motion Sensor

Motion Sensor, this device creates an invisible infrared beam up to 6ft long. When the beam is crossed by spirit or investigator, a loud alarm or chime will sound. Best placed in view of a recording device such as cctv or camcorder.
